This is a very popular item with people wanting to compost in small spaces. It is designed to take the organic waste from a family of 4 and "compost" it as little as 4 weeks. The best part of this small composter is its ability to make leachate - to be drained off and to be made into liquid fertilizer - "compost tea" when diluted 10 to 1. This compost tea is great for fertilizing plants and optimize their growth to be bigger and healthier. The "compost" itself should be either used outside or thrown in to a larger outdoor compost bin or be discarded. To get maximum production use some kind of Bokashi granulate (fermentation aid) to speed up the composting process and reduce odors.
