We love this mid-size storage shed, and so will you! It is one of our top-selling plastic sheds for good reason. The generous 8 ft. depth gives you a large 172 cu. ft. of storage space in a narrow side corridor of your home. The new 4x10x6 size offers an even larger 215 cu. ft. of storage!
The SideMate's contemporary design beautifies any backyard while maximizing storage space for yard tools, garden equipment, bikes, pool equipment, and other items.
Constructed of durable all-weather vinyl resin plastic in a neutral ivory color (4x8x6 also available in a sharp new Adobe/Anthracite two-tone color combination), the SideMate vinyl plastic storage shed is maintenance-free. It will never need painting or treating. The plastic will not rust, dent, rot, mildew, or fade. The outer walls of superior fire retardant PVC resin provide additional safety when storing paint, gas, gas grills, propane, or other flammable materials, unlike polyethylene or other plastics. Plastic is also much quieter in the rain than metal storage sheds, which is especially nice if the shed is under a bedroom window.
This sturdy plastic storage shed features heavy duty galvanized steel interior columns and beams which give superior strength against wind and snow. The included galvanized steel foundation elevates the shed above the ground, preventing water damage while squaring up the shed for installation.
The included foundation kit provides a galvanized metal foundation. It eases the installation process, ensures a square shed, and elevates your floor off the ground. You provide the flooring material of your choice, such as 3/4" plywood. With the foundation kit, you'll be able to build your shed the day you receive it.

Does the SideMate come with a floor?
No, it comes with a foundation frame on which you can lay your flooring material of choice, such as 3/4" plywood. We've also had customers build their floor using gravel, pavers, concrete, etc. The foundation frame, with a floor on top, elevates the shed contents above ground level to prevent water damage.

I am thinking of putting this shed under a bedroom window, will it be too noisy in the rain?
Plastic is much quieter in the rain than metal storage sheds, which is especially nice if the shed is under a bedroom window. The level of rain sound you enjoy vs find annoying is a personal choice, however we have never received or read any negative review about this shed complaining that rain noise was too loud. This shed is our best selling product.

What is the roof snow load for this shed?
The SideMate has a strong internal metal frame structure. The roof has been tested for 20lbs/sq. ft. snow load.

When researching this shed, I noticed a window in one picture. Is that an option?
The manufacturer no longer offers the window kit for the SideMate shed.

Can I move the door to the other end?
Yes, when you build the Sidemate shed you can pick either end for the door.

Can I order a second door for the other end?
This is a popular question and US Polymers (makers of DuraMax) is looking into making this a supported option. It is not something you can order at this time. However, if you are willing to void the warranty by modifying the shed from its design, it is possible: When you receive your shed, you can look at the assembly instruction manual to see which parts are used for the door, and how to install the door on either end. Once you have determined the part numbers needed, you can call DuraMax directly, and order those parts as replacement parts. You can then modify your assembly of the other end of the shed to include the door, using the parts you ordered. This will void the warranty.
