Janssens greenhouses offer extensive configuration options, allowing many models to be adapted to your site, intended use, and architectural preferences. Depending on the model, available choices may include greenhouse dimensions, frame color, glazing, doors, windows, roof vents, wall height, decorative details, and accessories.
You are not limited to the Janssens greenhouse models shown in our online store. The Janssens Greenhouse Configurator allows you to begin with a compatible base model and explore the options available for that greenhouse.
You can design a greenhouse yourself or work with MyGreenhouseStore through a phone or screen-sharing design session. If you create a design in the configurator, save the configuration code and PDF and send them to us. We can review the configuration with you, discuss available options and changes, prepare pricing, and provide a shipping estimate.

Changing dimensions can affect other available configuration options, so the greenhouse should be considered as a complete system rather than as a collection of independent choices.
You do not need to add every accessory during the initial design. Consider how you intend to use the greenhouse and select accessories that support that plan.
Planning Note
Door, window, and roof-vent placement can be affected by corner bracing, greenhouse geometry, adjacent components, and the selected door or vent type. If a particular location is important to your project, confirm the proposed placement with us before finalizing the configuration or preparing the site.
How to Use the Janssens Greenhouse Configurator
The configurator allows you to begin with an existing Janssens greenhouse design and progressively customize the options available for that model. The exact screens and choices you see will depend on the greenhouse you select.
STEP 1
Open the Configurator
Open the Janssens Greenhouse Configurator. The configurator is available in several languages. Use the language selector in the upper-right area of the configurator to choose your preferred language.
If MyGreenhouseStore has already provided you with a configuration code, enter the code and select Load Configuration to reopen that design.
STEP 2
Choose a Base Model
The configurator organizes Janssens greenhouses into three primary groups: Action Models, Freestanding Models, and Lean-To Models. Choose the category and model that most closely match the greenhouse you would like to design.
Action Models
Action Models are predefined Janssens greenhouse configurations with more limited initial choices. Use the menu beneath the greenhouse to select from the sizes and finishes available for that particular model. Dimensions may initially be displayed in metric measurements.
Once you select a configuration, the tool will take you into the main configurator, where you can continue working with the options available for that greenhouse.
Action Models provide predefined greenhouse configurations with model-specific size and finish choices.
Freestanding Models
Select the Freestanding Models category to view the available standalone greenhouse designs. Choose the model you would like to use as your starting point, and the configurator will display the options available for that greenhouse.

Lean-To Models
Lean-to greenhouses are designed to attach to an existing building and use a single-sloped roof. Select the Lean-To Models category and choose the model that most closely matches the greenhouse you would like to configure.
Some Janssens designs may also allow additional wall-attached configurations. If your project involves attaching the greenhouse to one or two existing walls, contact us to discuss the appropriate starting model and configuration.
Lean-To Models are wall-attached greenhouse designs with a single-sloped roof.
STEP 3
Configure the Greenhouse
Once you select a base model, the main configurator will display a three-dimensional representation of the greenhouse. You can zoom, pan, and rotate the greenhouse to examine the design as you make changes. The available configuration tabs will vary somewhat according to the model selected.
Personalize
Use the Personalize section for choices such as frame color, roof cresting, glazing, and applicable wall options.
Pay particular attention to wall-height selections if the greenhouse will be installed on a stem wall. A greenhouse installed on top of a wall while retaining its full greenhouse wall height is a different situation. Contact us if you are planning this type of installation so we can help determine the appropriate configuration and door arrangement.
Dimensions
The Dimensions section displays available dimensional choices for your base model. Depending on the greenhouse, these may include length, width, gutter height, ridge height, roof pitch, and glazing module.
The configurator can also display greenhouse surface area and volume, which can be useful when evaluating heating and cooling requirements.
Doors & Windows
Use this section to explore the compatible doors, windows, roof vents, and decorative panels for the selected greenhouse. Available choices may include sliding or hinged doors, tilt-out windows, louvre windows, roof vents, portal frames, and decorative wall panels.
Options
Once compatible doors or windows have been added, additional options may become available for those components, including openers, stops, and screens. This area also includes available greenhouse accessories such as seed trays, shelves, benches, hanging hardware, and decorative elements.
Exposure
The Exposure section contains visualization settings rather than greenhouse construction choices. Here you can select dimensional units and adjust settings such as image lighting, background, and automatic rotation.
STEP 4
Save Your Design
When you have finished configuring the greenhouse, select Save Configuration. The configurator will generate a configuration code that identifies the particular version of the greenhouse you created.

✓ Keep the code and PDF for the same version of your design
Important: If you modify the greenhouse afterward, the configuration code will change.

Custom Greenhouse Planning Questions
Do I Need a Fully Custom Greenhouse?
Not necessarily.
Some changes to standard Janssens greenhouses may be possible without placing a fully customized factory order. Depending on the model and available inventory, certain doors, windows, roof vents, screens, accessories, and other components may be added or changed through the North American distributor.
Contact us with the changes you have in mind. We can help determine whether they can be made to a standard greenhouse or whether a factory-configured greenhouse is more appropriate.
How Does Customization Affect Lead Time?
Lead time depends on the greenhouse model, current North American inventory, factory availability, and the extent of customization required.
Standard greenhouses already in North American inventory generally have the shortest lead time. Other models may already be in transit from the Janssens factory or available through factory inventory, while fully customized configurations require additional time.
Because inventory and production schedules change, contact us for current availability and an estimated lead time for the greenhouse you are considering.
What If the Configurator Doesn't Show What I Need?
The Janssens Configurator covers a wide range of greenhouse designs and options, but it does not necessarily represent every project possibility.
If you need a configuration or detail that isn't available through the online tool, contact us before assuming it cannot be done. In some cases, another configuration, accessory, installation approach, or additional customization may provide a solution.
